Agriturismo Canale is a farmhouse that was completely renovated in the 19th century on the beautiful Tuscan hills that border the provinces of Florence, Pisa and Siena, near the Volterra and San Gimignano regions. It is immersed in pristine and rugged natural setting rich in history and memories of the past, expressed by these cities in their art and stories. The hamlet of Montelopio, approximately 2 km. from villa, is a witness to history: The Etruscans, the Longobardians, the Maritime Republic of Pisa, the Knights Templar, and the noble families of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany have all left signs of their passage and their stays here on this “mountain of well-being”. The farmhouse Canale is surrounded by a green area (7000 sq. m) it has covered private parking, bocce court, table tennis, children play area and a very large swimming pool, set amongst olive, oleander and fruit trees. Each apartment has its own shaded gazebo with tables and chairs. The location of the Agriturismo Canale is ideal for visiting the most important cultural and artistic centres of Tuscany such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra and the seaside is only 45 minutes drive away. The property comprises two units, the main farm-house with 6 apartments: 4 one double bedroom apartments (50 sq.meters) and 2 two double bedroom apartments (75 sq.meters) and the hay barn with 2 three double bedroom apartments (80 sq.meters) restored and decorated in the original peasant style. These two apartments are suitable for large families and group of friends who wish to be together and desire more privacy. The property comprises also two luxurious villas: Villa Angelica and Villa Lestra.
